HDMI is capable of transmitting both video and audio signals through a single cable. However in cases where we need to output audio to an external speaker system that has analog or optical input this audio extractor serves as an ideal solution.

This adapter allows the user to extract the embedded audio from an HDMI source and output it separately through an analog 3.5mm audio jack or a digital optical SPDIF connector. The video stays within the existing HDMI signal and can be sent on to the HDMI display.

You can easily place this compact adapter behind your AV equipment and power it through a USB cable that can draw power from either a USB charger or an available USB port on your TV media player or PC. It is compliant with both HDMI 1.4b and HDCP 1.4 standards.
