Phosphoric Acid 85 Percent FCC is used to acidify foods and beverages such as various colas and jams. The FCC grade meets the requirements of the Food Chemical Codex which indicates it is suitable for all food beverage and nutritional supplement applications.

Phosphoric acid is a clear colourless and odourless liquid. Phosphoric acid will not burn although it can form very hazardous decomposition products. Since the acid is corrosive contact with metals can increase flammable hydrogen gas.
